SmartGrid Stakeholder Survey (Updated)

SmartGrid Stakeholder Survey

Currently, electricity is mainly generated by a few far-off high-capacity generators. However, due to environmental concerns, electrical energy is increasingly being produced by small scale generators located close to the point-of-use. This decentralized model for energy generation will bring with it many challenges to maintain grid robustness.

The Information Society and Media Directorate General, within the European Commission, is organising an Information Day on Smart Grids, ICT for Water Management and Smart Cities.

The event will take place on 12 September in Brussels, Rue Froissart 36, Centre Albert Borschette, Room A/0.
